Can someone explain to me, how the registration work (and why you have that system). Isnt there any national register over the citizens?

Just curios. :)

No national register. Elections are held by the states. You register ahead of time so that they know how many ballots to order, what kinds of resources they'll need, and also to make sure that you're elgible to vote.

..i was pre-registered, so i walked passed a line of people that looked about 20 min long, and took all of 2 min to vote and get back out to the car.

..as they watched me come back out with sullen faces, i took the liberty of adding a little spring to my step, and snapping my fingers while boobing my head back and forth in a cool fashion. ..well ok so i didnt bob my head.. uh ..or snap.. uh, and i wasnt very springy either.. but it felt good anyway.

Movie Swede, based on the content of your post, you know more about the shortcomings of our voter registration system than we Americans do. Good for you; bad for us; maybe bad for everybody.

Peace only with change.
