I have been researching into trying to find a reputable site to buy a camera from, and the amount of scammers out there is ridiculous. If we could get a sticky with all of the Reputable online dealers, that would be good, even if they are not licensed distributors.

I will keep a list going here, and hope people can contribute, so no one gets ripped off by some shady site.

If anyone knows anything about this site, it is a complete scam, just look at the pages. Reusing graphics from other scam sites, pairing head cleaning tapes with solid state camcorders. Yet they have a 7.5 star rating. Lots of site go on there and type up good reviews of themselves. I just think that if you kept a list somewhere as a sticky with good, trusted websites, it would help.

True. You have to look past the rating and actually read some reviews to get a better picture of companies you're not familiar with. Some of those reviews were so generic and phony-sounding in nature that you can see right their veil. The more detailed reviews give a different picture along with a lower rating. Not difficult to decipher.

i saw a red epic for dirt cheap. does anyone know if joedonocameras.com is a reputable site?
