I think my tape got erased?

I shot some footage the other week on my DVX100B and when I got home I realized that I still had the tape in my camera, so I threw it in my backpack so I would remember to bring it back into work. The tape probably sat in the bag for a few days and when I put it in the deck to capture, all I get is pink and green noise. Rows and rows of pink and green dots. There is timecode there, just no picture.

Now normally I would assume this is a dirty head issue. Even though I just had the deck professionally cleaned last week, I put a cleaning tape in, but nothing changed. I don't carry any sort of magnet in my bag nor any electrical devices except maybe my iPod.

Has my tape been erased?

I can play back other tapes fine in the deck, just not this one.

Any ideas?
 
Nope, it wouldn't have gotten wet. It would have spent a few days in my moderately hot apartment, but not like being baked in a car...
 
It could be a bad tape. Try it another camera or player and see what happens. Also If you sat you bag on top or close to a speaker that could do it to.
