I Need Your Music Video

Okay, lots of interest but not a lot of deliveries. So far only "Mirror" and "Now or Never" have gotten me videos that I have been able to download.

I will put the address out there for the rest of the world to mail to:

TTV Program Director
c/o Justine Stokes
UW-Oshkosh Comm Dept
800 Algoma Blvd
Oshkosh WI 54901

I haven't seen anything in the mail yet, I hope to see something soon!

Hey what do u need me to upload? I'm not sure what you need but I do want to get stuff to you.

1) If you have a DVD, IMX, MiniDV, or Beta tape in 16:9 anamorphic NTSC SD, or a HDV cassette, that would be ideal.
2) Files that are available for download I will get when I can. Most of these are taking 6+ hours to download so if you have a tape it will get to air much faster. If you upload the file to your server, try to give me a format that will hold up for broadcast but not take forever to download, like MPEG 2 or 4, in the 6-10 Mbps range, plus decent 44.1 or 48kHz audio compressed somehow. For example, a high-quality DVD-ready mpeg file would fit that description. A five minute video should be no more than 500 MB. If they are SD files, they should be NTSC compliant. HD files (at 23.96 or 29.97)are ok but we only broadcast in SD, I'll do a downconversion.
3) The content must be acceptable for broadcast, so no nudity or words you wouldn't use in prime time.

"Mirror" totally feels like an extension of John Carpenter's "They Live", I was just waiting for the robots. Very cool.

I received in the mail...
Red Light Driver
Kai -Freedom of Speech
and Handbasket

They are all in rotation. Thanks!

University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. I'm trying to get together 60 minutes of indie videos and ship them off to some of the other UW schools with TV stations, so there is hope for some increasing exposure for the bands.
If I had six hours of tapes delivered today, I could be airing them all. When I'm not running my own content, I have to run the world's most boring satellite feed.

Cool. The exposure is most welcome for the indy artist with college stations. Do you know who to talk to about getting gigs up there?

Excellent! I've got another on it's way today.

Thanks again!

I'm there for sure until May. Longer if I get reappointed. After that, the address will still work, but it will be up to the new program director to figure out what's on and what's not.

Thanks to everyone who has already submitted something. I'm still looking for more. I'm sure some DVXUsers are sitting on a dozen or more music videos, and I'd love to get them all on the air.

All the videos I have this far will be in heavy rotation until the Spring semester starts in February. So far I have about 30 minutes of material, but I would really appreciate MUCH more for the spring.

If someone was interested in doing a world premiere of a music vid on our station, I could connect you with the producers of one of our shows. It could be a cool way to launch an online video campaign.

All the videos that have been submitted this far are airing at least once a day and have been since the second week in December. I'd love to get some new tracks for spring.... who's got something for me?

I've found a way to hook my laptop directly into the server so I don't have to spend as much time digitizing, so I can handle the online files much more quickly now.

"World premiere" sounds big time! Do they have those for unknown indie bands?

Any word on being appointed past May yet?

what if the artist is canadian? ;)

i could send you a dvd with an .mov file? but its 4:3 and you seem to only be accepting 16:9 so maybe this isnt gonna work... :(
