I need your help - Video 8

I shot a documentary about 20 years ago, while in college, using the "video 8" format. The documentary was about an incredible and very unique class called "visual problem solving". This documentary is the last remain of how the class was conducted and taught and the school has asked me for the master tape as the video on the VHS copy has degraded a great deal all the colors have shifted and the resolution is pretty much go on... unfortunately I don't know if I still have that master tape, I still have quite a few tapes but some of them are unlabeled and I don't have any ways to view them since I don't have a "video 8" deck or a camera.

I have no doubt that someone in this forum has one tucked away somewhere in their closet. Maybe your parents? All I need is access to one for a couple of hours to view what's on those missing tapes... I don't have a budget for it, but I will somehow make it worthwhile for you, should you want to help.

If you have one please PM me , this is for a very worthy cause.

Thank you.

( I think that Hi8 deck / camera were compatible with video 8 as well)

Even better - anybody with a digital 8 camera can straight up digitize these over firewire. If you get more desperate, I can probably hook you up.

http://www.gotmemories.com/. You can get their video to DVD transfer services on eBay for $9.95.

Thanks for this suggestion, but unfortunately DVD won't do. Even if I did have the Master, the resolution would still need to be enhanced and the color channels redshifted... I need the tape to be digitized with no compression, or at least non destructive compression.
