I need your help please...

Alright, I'm totally out of ideas! Here's my problem:

I just finished shooting a video on the HVX using the P2 log to export them as a quicktime file on a Mac. Now I'm on my pc with 40 gigs of mov. files and now I can't play them at all. I want to edit them in Premiere but I can't even view them. I tried installing every quicktime codec, etc and nothing. It keeps giving me errors, file does not contain video stream, can't render file, etc.

Another problem, I no longer have access to a mac and my client needs this footage ASAP.

I know these files are not corrut, or at least I hope not. They were playing perfectly on the Mac before I transferd it on the harddrive.

So with no mac and all I have is my PC which won't play these files at all, what alternatives do I have?

I'm pissed as hell.

Can someone please help? thanks

Can you view the files with QuickTime? If you have QuickTimePro you can convert the files to .avi which you should be able to use in Premiere.

I thought QuickTime didn't support DVCProHD on a PC.

I know I've uploaded 720P QuickTime files from FCP here on the board and PC users couldn't see them. I had to either compress them with H.264 or someone else converted them to .WMV files so the PC users could see them.

That sucks, Blue...

I don't use the HVX but I have had trouble with ANY raw video file between PC and Mac.

I hope that someone has an answer for you.

Good luck!

Ted
