I need workflow help on compressing for DVD

We filmed about 35 minutes at SD 1080i/60p and we captured in FCP using a 3:2 pulldown. It's about 10 meg in size.
The next few steps seem confusing.
Do we export to quicktime movie then to DVD Pro?
Do we use quicktime converter and then DVD Pro to burn?

We want to get to DVD with the least amount of loss and we aren't sure what our workflow should be from this point on?

thanks for any help you can throw our way!

First off, you cannot shoot SD 1080i/60p.
The steps are:
Import your P2 footage.
Use easy set-up to match your footage.
Edit your footage.
I then export the entire timeline as a self-contained .mov
Use this .mov in compressor to create an .m2v and .ac3 file.
Use the compressed .m2v and .ac3 files in DVD SP.
And visit

If you applied any effects (even ones that can play at realtime speed), don't forget to render before you export the self-contained Quicktime file. This way, if you ever need to export it again, FCP doesn't have to re-render.

sorry. I am still learning the settings. It was SD 1080i at 60 fps on the Canon XH-A1 camera. We were doing an export of final product as .mov self contained, like you said, but we then went straight into DVD SP and burned.
thanks for the steps. I will also check out kenstone.net.
