I need to stick a fly to a forehead

I have a shot, maybe 2.5 seconds, where a guy has a fly on his forehead. The fly is just a still that I am hoping to track with the movement of the actor. It's a static shot and the guy is sitting still. But there is still some subtle movement.

Is there a way to lock the fly to a specific "landmark" on the guy's forehead to follow the movement in either FCP or motion?

Found it. Match move in Motion. It took some time to figure out that both layers had to be in the same group, but otherwise it worked great.

Yeah Jim, I am just getting into Motion, if you could post the shot when you are done, I would be greatly appreciative.

Here's a link. It's a rough cut of a spot we did from a series for a local non-profit.

There is another fly buzzing around in the beginning, but you really can't see it. The one on the forehead comes in about 1:20 or so. It took me about 2 minutes to do once I figured it out. I am sure that with a bit more experience I could get it to look better, but I am just happy that it actually looks like it's on his forehead.

Looks good, you should definitely do a tutorial for us young guys here trying to learn :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

oooooh, so I'm old....

"Young" had nothing to do with age. My post was referring to us "Young" guys meaning less experienced. My apologies if I disrespected you. These forums are my classroom and the more experienced users are my teachers which I try to learn from.

Thank you
