I need to convert 29.97 to 25...ntsc to pal. Yawn.

I've never had to do this before but spoke with a prod co that does beta transfers and they told me it would be really "jumpy/choppy" if the video was converted. Is that true, or can 29.96 60i be coverted to PAL without any issues during playback?
 
As said before: leave it ntsc.
If you convert to PAL you will loose quality. PAL has more scanlines.
Nearly all dvd players can play ntsc disks.
 
Eeesh. In that case, you may want to have a 'professional' do it. There's no software at the level of the average Premiere Pro user that can make a decent conversion.
 
+1 for hiring a Pro.
You just won't get a high quality conversion without a crapload of time spent on it and even then there's no guarantee...
