I need some serious help here!

A group of us, (Two of us DVXusers) just shot our first short.
I am hoping to post it here so you all can critique it.
I was the Producer and editor have learned a lot of what to do and not what to do.
I thought I knew a lot about editing and found after tackling the task of editing it was a bigger job than expected.
I think I have most of the ripples taken care of (It was mostly audio)

Problem... We shot a few clips in 60I so that we could slow them down in a 24p timeline. Easy right? Well I screwed up and told the DP to shoot with a 500 shutter speed. It should have been about 120.
I know now I screwed the pooch on this one, so now i am asking for anyone’s help.
Anyway the footage has a stutter effect as you can see.
I have tried changing the properties of the clips and change them to 23.97 and it does help but still not they way intended. I still get the stutter effect.
I was told that in Final cut it would automatically take care of this. Is this correct?
I would like to keep it all in Vegas or some other plug in.

HELP!!!

Thank you for any advice.
I hope I mentioned all of the technical question that might come up.

Re: I need some serious help here!

I don't see a link to any footage.

What did you do -- exactly -- to slow it down?

Re: I need some serious help here!

Edit on a 24P timeline, import the 60i footage and right-click it and get "properties", tell it to use a playback rate of 0.400. Then drop it on your timeline. It should look reasonably smooth, with a bit of a staccato effect because of the high shutter speed (there won't be motion blur in the frame, but the frames should play back sequentially and smoothly).
