i know this is not really the place for computer problems, but i thought maybe i'd give it a shot.

my computer had a virus and i had the hd completely wiped out. i reinstalled windows and all that stuff, but now whenever i want to enter a secure connection (like signing in on ebay) explorer won't open the page. does anybody know the browser settings i need to have? or how to fix this problem? thanks.

Tools->internet options->security should do it. look into the setting for your internet connection. My real recommendation would be to download mozilla firefox and replace IE for good :) http://www.mozilla.org/ once you use it, you'll forget about IE forever.

Yeah go with firefox. (Or I could say get a Mac, but I won't.) ;)

Microsoft just relased Microsoft Anti-Spyware. Believe it or not, its actually a great piece of software. It offers realtime protection and its free. www.microsoft.com on the front page. YOu should use mozilla to browse to avoid troubles in the future.

Using Internet Explorer is your first mistake..

man.. that piece of crap should be illegal to use..
