I need protection (for wind)

Here's my order from a long time ago. The situation is: wind is an element I always have to fight. What can you guys recommend? I'm hoping it can be fixed with an accessory, I really wouldn't like to invest in another mic right now...

Best: Blimp & Windjammer
Next: Blimp
Next: Rycote Softie
Next: Foam (which you are already using it seems)

Depending on your budget, you have lots of choices outlined above. I have the Sennheiser blimp and windsock, with the k-tek pistol grip and a conversion kit for the k-tek shock mount. It works great for me...but the Sennheiser blimp is more pricey than others...

erm, I live in scotland, and a foam+blimp+windjammer is very often not enough. If you're always battling with wind, I suggest getting a cloth High-wind cover too, a fleecy cover which goes between the blimp and the windjammer.

back when i had a sennheiser me-66 i had the package deal where it came with a rycote softie and a handheld mount and i think it had a shockmount too.

and it worked great in medium strength wind.

you wouldn't wanna use that in the rain. :)

since you mentioned it. Is there any protection from the rain for the boom mics. I guess boompole itself can get wet yes?

with the foam+zepplin+sock+windjammer combo it can all get as wet as it likes. you just have to hang the windjammer up to dry and brush it before you store it.
