Hello people

i am having problems - i'm using Adobe Encore

the problem is i'm using alot of motion menus and and i have quitie abit of text on them - but when i build the project i get alot of flickering - so much so i can't read what the text says

should i be applying some sort of filter to AVI file before i import to encore

please help

what version of encore are you using and what program are you using to create the backgrond animations.

and using Affer effects 7 for the avi background

Use the same rules for rendering text as you would for any titles going out to interlaced television. ie. No single pixel horizontal lines.

First I have to ask, why are you using an avi as the background video? I don't know if that would contribute to your problem, but I use PremPro and Encore, and usually encode even the background videos to mpeg before importing into Encore. Also, what font are you using for the titles? Some font types look good in print but not on screen.

Simply increase the font size and don't use 1px stroke width.
