Ok, so I am about to invest into a new Laptop. I need a mac that is able to edit HD video quickly and with smoothly. What specs should I look for in my macbook pro?

I'm pretty excited about the new quadcore 17" thunderbolt models. Seems like they have room to grow. Right now I am a bit frustrated with my core duo 17" and often use the quad core iMac at the office instead.
