my on camera mic mount isn't tall enough for my shotgun (me66) to clear the matte box or to stay out of the picture.
is there a taller mic mount for the dvx?
I'm not sure about a mic mount (although I'm sure there is one), but I just took a 1''x3'' piece of metal and drilled two holes on each end. Worked fairly nice until I got my boom.

I'm not clear on the various part numbers. What part number/manufacturer is the bracket that goes up from the camera?
Will this interfere with an on-camera light?
it's the audio technica at-8415 shockmount that goes onto the hotshoe. if you are using a light at the same time, you might want to go w/ something like this:

Thanks for the link to that bracket. That would work but I'm thinking that an extension bracket for the existing mic mount would be just as good or better. Just raise the mic up and to the side about 3". I may have to fabricate this myself.
I use a Professional Sound Corp (PSC) camera shockmount for my Senn to get it up above my mattebox/french flag. The folks at locationsound.com should be able to set you up.
