guys am using my dvx100a shooting 24p my camera is reading 24p when I exported oud using a fire wire to my pc. recording on vegas 6 and when I go to my
time line in vegas property is reading the frame perfect 24p but when I go to my document to my original fotage and my clip documents is reading 29 frame per sec
is this norma ? my camera is brand new
 
Normal. The footage is recorded as 24p + pulldown. Vegas removes that when you work with it. (But you could keep it, if you wanted to work on a 60i timeline, instead of the 24p)
 
hi... sorry to ask this.. and there may not be an simple answer, but is "pulldown" kinda like it takes the 24fps, and makes it 30fps, but when playing back it will still have the same 'look' as the 24 so you can view it on a tv. ('cause tv's are like 30fps arent they?... or are they actually able to play 24fps?) later on when I have time i'm gonna search the other forums for this question/info.
 
That's it, pretty much. Except for the 30p part. It's really 60i. Progressive tv is just catching on. On a computer, however, you can keep it progressive. Or even a progressive scan DVD player.
