I need a part for a light.

This is from my Britek 200 It is where the wires connect to the lamp. Wires in the back, lamp in the front. The light is over 2 years old, so it's out of warranty. I contacted them and they want me to send it in to be fixed, at 15 bucks plus shipping. Since the light only cost 60, I was thinking of fixing it myself, but have no idea where to get the part. Any suggestions?

SO far I've had no luck. I got the lamp to light by sticking the power cables in the back, and taping it in place, and then putting the lamp in the socket. But it's not really practical that way because whatever would hold the two pins on the lamp in place was compromised at some point.

I still haven't found the part, but I am open to suggestions for a safe workaround.

If mine weren't still working well, I'd just rip the part out of one of mine and sent it to you. I don't know where to get replacements, though. If you figure it out, post the solution.

Thanks for the thought, I will. It's kinda dumb, because they'll fix it for 15 bucks....I just wanna do it myself.

I always try to go that route, myself. I don't like to pay someone to do something unless I absolutely have to.

Not only does it save money for stuff you have to buy, but it lets me know that I can fix it in the field if I have to.

Exactly. It's always nice to know that you can deal with problems when they show up (and they always do).
