I need a Canadian!

Wait... that sounds wrong! Is there anybody up in the Ontario area that might be interested in doing me a small favor?

There is a Guitar Builder (Some people calls them a Luthier, but I calls them Guitar Builders) by the name of Linda Manzer, and I would love to get a short video interview. I would do it myself, but there isn't anyway I could make a trip. I can't pay much, if at all, but I'll at least take care of gas and tape, and maybe even a LeBlatts, eh? Either shoot me a PM or an email, or just post here and we'll talk about Linda and her guitars.

And yes, I know this should go in the Jobs section, but I feel that should be reserved for real jobs.

I might be able to help you with that. Ontario is a big place though, where in Ontario does she reside? I see that she is going to be at the Montreal Guitar show in late June. That's fairly close to where I am...

Hey Michael, I will have to find out where she is. I was wanting to make sure I would have someone willing to shoot it before I ask her for the interview. Are you a music lover by chance?

I'm in the same boat. I love music, but I was diagnosed with NRAA... That's No Rhythm At All.

I was watching Jazz Legends the other night, and caught Pat Metheny playing a 42 string Pikasso guitar. As freaky weird as it looked, it was amazing. Pat was somehow involved with the design, and had Linda Manzer build it. That is the story I want to get!

If it's in my area of Ontario (the Greater Toronto Area), or not too far off, I wouldn't mind at all.

I checked out her website. Pretty cool stuff for sure. She'll be in Montreal in June doing a show - that's all the information I got from her site. She definitely makes some INCREDIBLE guitars though.

I have no rhythm whatsoever either, but I love music and the instruments (too bad I can't play them).

If you dig through her site a bit, you can find the Pikasso, and it is about the strangest thing this side of Dr Seuss.

Since both of you mentioned the Guitar Festival, I decided to see about a Press Pass if either of you would be interested in that.

Michael is closer to Montreal than I am actually, so it would likely be cheaper for you Capt for him to go. It's about a 6 hour drive from where I am.

Let us know what you decide regardless,

Kegan

It was just a thought. I know there is a lot of great music that comes out of there. Wasn't Jeff Healey out of Toronto? I wouldn't mind having a Great White Correspondent or two... :)
