You're out of your mind unless you've upgraded the turbo, got a boost controller, and some other mods.

You might kill from a launch but without serious work, you're dead from a roll.

Impressive lucidz. I want to get the SC for my car. Plus a cold air intake and some more suspension mods. I think my car and the STI would kill ya in the windies...
 
oh yeah. my cars a BOAT! i can take a single corner a LOT better than the sti or the other 30K sedan sporters, but in an autocross I have real issues. Just too large of a car.

But in the straights... :D
 
There is a universe somewhere, where I could possibly do it myself, as I *think* that its just a matter of removing the bolts that hold the strut assembly thing to the front undercarriage thingy, taking the strut (shock) out of the spring and replacing it, but I dunno for sure. Never had the pleasure and dont know if I would need any kind of compression tool....dealer wants $800+, I found another mechanic who will do it for $60 each side and I can buy the parts myself and bring them to him.

Both scenarios scare me. Women are simply targets when it comes to auto repairs. :furious3:
 
In the past, I've always just acted like I know my car really well (or in fact did a lot of research to know my car really well) then the mechanic is scared that if he doesn't do it right, you'll know. This works good for car dealerships too. Study the cars and know the specs, so you can rattle it off to the dealer, and they'll know they can't screw you over.
 
I find that smiling sweetly, letting them know you know a thing or two and then kneeing them where it hurts if they do it wrong works quite well too ;o)

Or sometimes, if I just look at them works :Drogar-Evil(DBG):

What STi are you talking about lucidz? Those numbers are from a vanilla WRX, not an STI. An STi runs more like a 4.9sec 0-60 (on a cold day) and a 13.4 1/4 mile at 101 something.

Also, an old school Subaru 22b would probably be very close competition to your Corvette, Lucidz. It's an STi on steroids, now what does that tell you:
