I may have screwed up...

Hi all,
I searched for this answer, but did not find my solution, so maybe someone can help.
Sorry if this is the wrong part of the forum. I posted in several, sorry if poor etiquette.

I shot HVX 1080 24 footage, I think it shows as 29.97 in Final Cut info.

I also shot with the Canon T2i in 1080 24 mode. I am using Final Cut studio 7, I have down loaded Steamclip. I have made my Canon footage ProRes 422 LT. The converted Canon files are 23.98.

It doesn't look very good, lots of jaggies on the Canon footage. I have obviously jumped
in over my head, but I need to get a handle on this and try to finish.

Can someone offer a better work flow?

thanks,
dmurray

Your 24fps footage should be recognized in Final Cut as 24fps. You must have dragged your footage into a 30fps sequence. Try dragging your footage into a blank sequence. You should be prompted to have your sequence settings match your footage. Click yes.

As for your Canon footage, I don't know what to tell you. You don't need streamclip. I mean theere is nothing wrong with converting your footage with it, but if you have Final Cut Pro, then you should have Compressor. What are the "jaggies" you're seeing? Is it just the aliasing present in DSLR footage?
