Had to share this one with the class:

A professional photographer came to the house today and I showed him my Water's Edge film on the big ass plasma.

At the end he asks if it was shot on 35mm film....

Gotta love that  :)

Re: I love this camera

The footage from the DVX speaks for itself--eh? I never talk about the camera or technical details before screening DVX footage, but I get frequent "wows" and very often, the comment, "that looks like a MOVIE". Also, the disbelief from longtime Beta SP shooters is fun to watch.

Re: I love this camera

Hahah excellent.

Waters edge does look truly amazing. And thanks for posting clips disjecta. Waters edge was one of the things that convinced me to buy a dvx.

And thanks to Jarred and all the other guys on this forum. It is so helpful.

I shot my first footage last night. I will post it soon. And maybe eventually it will convince someone to buy a DVX.

great stuff guys!!!

Re: I love this camera

Disjecta,

the professional photogapher has good eyes, good DVX footage actually looks like film...so so close...

I enjoyed 35mm still photography for years, and i bought my DVX100 and DVX100A because i felt i was "at my home"..."in my home".
