I lost audio in fast forward playback

[jakatak]

I used to be able to hear the audio when I did fast forward playback. I now can only hear it on rewind, but not fast forward and not frame by frame playback.

did I turn off a setting that I don't know about?

It just started doing that a few days ago.

thanks in advance for your help.
