Out of all the prosumer HD cameras, the HVX 200 looks the best to my eyes (image wise.) And while I know that everyone is going to say that there is no "best" camera, I would recommend the HVX200 to any of my "indie" friends in a heartbeat. To me, the HVX 200 has the best dynamic range and color reproduction. It's the perfect digital prosumer camera that is not quite film, and yet not quite video either. It must be the DVC PRO codec which makes the HVX 200 really shine.
