I like games too, but this...this just amazes me

Usually in RPGs you go around and by either battles, quests or some other mechanism pick up items (swords, bows, weapons, armor etc) and some form of currency, usually "gold". The currency being useful for purchasing weapons/armor from various in game characters. The search for the 'ultimate' weapon/armor etc often leads to people, who have found these items in game, selling them to other players for real world money.

The above link is to let you buy in game money with real money.

regarding the murder for a virtual sword story.
As if there isn't enough "real" crime in the world, now the police will have to start dealing with virtual crime? Welcome to the 21st century.

Laws against game theft?

IT'S A VIDEO GAME!!!!!!!!

What in the hell is wrong with people!?

There have been a string of deaths in China from people playing an RPG for days and days non-stop. I think it was Warcraft or something...???

The funny thing is that they hold virtual funerals at one of the in game cathedrals and all the players gather there!

If we're lucky, someone will wait for all the gamers to arrive and virtually blow the place up.

I am not into gaming. Maybe my age or something. I cannot believe how far it has come. Using real money to buy fake money.:undecided I am definitely in the wrong business.

 That's exactly what I was thinking. This has been going on for years. At least since the late 90's. I had a friend that use to play Everquest without sleep for days on end. It was sad. I read an article about this recently. This is why bartering real money for virtual money is against the regulations in these games.

Another scam some people do is sell a rare item on ebay, and then ultimately it's not delivered. They can't complain to the game when the item transfer doesn't take place. The player wasn't supposed to be doing it to begin with.

I can say that I've never played an MMORPG. It would be like crack if you ever got started. I don't plan on starting to do crack either.

I'm with ya Zach. I tried Star Wars Galaxy's and man once you get going its hard to stop. Thats all behind me now.
