I saw a Sony PSP for the fisrt time today. ( i dont know any 12 year olds right now) All i could think of was, "God, 6 hour battery life..... This thing would make a BADASSSSSSSS field monitor...." its screen is 16:9 and Reallllly beautiful plus its Tiny!. Too bad sony probably thought of that and kindly omitted it from its capability.

I hate you sony corporation........

12 year olds don't use field monitors? :-)

In all seriousness though, they are pretty cool little devices. Amazing screen, wireless internet, storage for music/photos....I owned one for a short while (a friend of mine bought one, but was hard up for cash...I bought it from him, threw it on ebay, and made 40 dollars...lol). If I traveled a lot I'd have kept it. I just couldn't see sitting on the couch playing a game on a 4" screen, when there is a 42" screen right in front of me...lol

Ehh i like sony stuff its just that they make everythign almost perfect..... it s always just missing that one thing that would make it Amazing.... but thats what panasonic is for.....

Someone please correct if I am wrong(no, seriously I am not up to video game technology) but isn't the screen just an LCD screen, wouldnt' that be the same inaccuracy as the video camera's LCD screen? Right...? :/

well check this out. for xmas i got a portable dvd player. i was excited about it but never really used it, except once during a black out i loaded a dvd and chilled just watching a movie in dark.

But, when i heard on this forum that they can be used as a field monitor I jumped. I connected by portable and it didn't work. I thought maybe i did something wrong. I checked on the internet and an advertisement on the target website said it had video in.

I searched and searched for the manual (you know I'm so dam organized and can anything in a second, yeah right).

Anyway there was no mention of the video in in the manual

so i emailed the company and asked whats up?

The response I got was that I have an "updated" version with no video in.

can you believe that ****? updated means they took that feature out. I have a suspicion that these companies know people are doing this and are going to come out with a small monitor and charge megabucks.
