It may not sound like an FCP prob, but hear me out.

I needed room on my HD to be able to burn a DVD. I transfered 5GB to my EXT HD, assuming I could just drag them back w/out a hitch.

Well the guy didn't like the DVD and all of my music is fu(*ed. In FCP I needed the music and now every time I select a song in iTunes, a question mark appears saying they can't find the files. Am I really going to have to locate each goddamn song individually?

Excuse my RAGE but they want the DVD by tomorrow and I think I'm in deep shizzle. HEEEEELLLP!!!!

If you re-import them into FCP (or drag and drop them) that won't help you much. That is an import function, not a reconnect function. FCP shouldn't reconnect anything based upon such an action.

I don't see where your problem is. If you dump all the music back to its original spot, or hell, just dump it all into one large folder, then use the reconnect media command. Depending upon how many files there are and how the original directory structure was setup, FCP might require you to manually find a lot of the files, that's just the breaks with the reconnect media function. If there is something else involved in your problem then can you please elaborate, because I'm not getting it from your post.

cheers.
