After years of being away from Macs, I bought myself a G5 2.7Mhz system last night with FCP production bundle.
The main reason I went back to PCs a few years back was because of the bad taste that Avid/Digidesign left with me. Since then I have been using Sony Vegas, but it has never reached what I would call a "professional" workflow. I grew tired of hearing "it will do ______ in the next realease". And the final straw was how poorly it intergrated with my decklink card. Don't get me wrong, I will still use Vegas for audio, since it is the most flexible DAW on a PC. That and my main work is audio and switching out 4 rooms here back to Macs would not be an option right now.
I don't have any real questions right now, but I will over the next few weeks. My mind is still mush from taking in FCP and Motion last night.
