I just read this in the DV REBELS GUIDE by Maschwitz
Supposing if one needs to export somewhere along the post prod line for example when there are to many filters on each clip and that the computer is having a hard time to keep up. He writes in his book that the only way to go is apples "uncompressed 10-bit..."
I did this but when playing this file in QT it is stretched vertically and when i dump it in FCP on top of being stretched it is also surrounded by a large black frame. Obviously i am doing something wrong. Anyone have any great ideas? What is the highest quality to export out of FCP? Is there a quality loss exporting full-size QT from FCP? I mean this dude worked for Lucas film, he should kind of know, so i am a little confused
