ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB, i was running a nvidia gt 7300 i think, my question
is will i notice a significant difference, and if so where and how?

im using a mac pro and i use the fcp suite

after effects,
poser,
maya,
effects lab,
photo shop.

Not really in anything other than Maya and Poser..

the others don't use the video card as much. Though it will help with any video in Leopard as I do believe OS 10.5 is now using Core Video which offloads video processing to the card.

Not 100% on that though... I haven't been keeping up with the inner workings of each new OS upgrade..

To be honest, I'm kinda in the same position. Got around 40 british pounds, looking for a graphics card that can run CSS & BF2. Little bit of 3D design, I think I'm just gonna get the crappy Nvidia 7200' at the end of the day, better than onboard graphics. Plus I get to attempt, to play BF2 on 56k modem. :laugh:
