Can you believe I was the class clown?

I kind of feel bad for mosesma (The starter of this thread). He was so stoked on the VILM term he ran around to all of the DV sites saying "It's mine! It's mine!" (Just think Daffy Duck) and everyone was like "No, no, no."

Well, at least we all had some fun.

I just decided to check out this thread. Boy, I've missed out on all the fun.

Actually, when I was around 8... (apparently a good age for inventions to start flooding your brain)... I thought I had come up with the phrase "afterwhile crocodile".

I had heard the saying "see ya later alligator" but never the other. So, one day while laying on the hood of my mom's car, staring at the Sun (no wonder I needed LASIK surgery two years ago)... I was running those words through my head when I stumbled upon the ingeniously clever "afterwhile crocodile" phrase.

Months later I was sitting at home with my family watching... I can't believe I'm about to admit this... Hee Haw on TV.

There (in living color) was this dude named Bill Haley (sp?) singing a song with the lyrics "See ya later alligator, afterwhile crocodile".

I immediately turned to my family and professed ownership of said phrase.

Instead of being greeted with surprise and congratulations I was treated to a long-lasting chorus of laughter.

I'm still scarred. ;D

working in waste management, i coined the phrase, "garbage in, garbage out." i'm surprised to see a lot of video professionals worked in waste management as well because they still use my phrase!??! ;D

Yeah, but that's only cause they got some cutie girl named Noah running the show over there and nobody wanted to make her feel to sorry for mosesma and start crying or something... ;D.
