I heart Huckabees

[Bsmith]

Has anyone seem this movie. I know it was released in limited theaters and I was hoping it would come local but it didn't and I ended up forgetting about it. I think it might be on DVD now...

but if you have seen it, what do you think of it? I loved the trailer. Does anyone know the song thats played during the trailer?

[Erik Olson]

I got it, but really didn't care in the end. The whole thing was kinda preachy the whole way through - in a very Oliver Stone at the end of Natural Born Killers kind of way - explaining and pandering and then explaining the pandering to me. I'm OK, You're OK and let's wave some mystic crystals around the movie and see if there are some twigs hanging over the bed. Like David Mamet but with more droning dialogue - if that's humanly possible.

Hoffman was cool like only Hoffman can be, though I think the script let him down.

Great Movie!! You have to really be into *Existentialism* and the meaning of life and all that stuff to enjoy the film to the fullest. ~reservoir~

I guess I fall in between both of the first two reviews above. I loved it, but found the heavy handed existential meandering to be a little, well...meandering.

With that said, it was a nice piece of original work, and it's just so hard to come by creativity these days, so it's well worth the rental.
