Some one chopped a DVX up played with the circutry, and made a uncompresessed 4:4:4 cam out of it.... i head that somewhere... Anyone know who did it? im just curious how it works. and looks.

That would be Juan and the Reel Stream team:
www.reel-stream.com

Specifications:
* FRAME RESOLUTION: 773x494 pixels (full CCD frame size, NTSC pixel aspect ratio)
* COLOR: Full color sampling(4:4:4) 12-bit RGB(36-bit) Uncompressed
* FRAME RATE: Works in all modes 24P, 24PA, 30P, 60i
* OUTPUTS: s-video, analog composite(RCA), SDI(SMPTE-259), Firewire 800(IEEE1394b)
* DYNAMIC RANGE: Approximately 2 F-stops of added latitude compared to DV output

Notes:
* The system probes the front end A/D converters in the camera and provides the full quality video that the camera actually captures.
* The analog outputs were added to allow for a field monitor of the raw output. The DV output in the viewfinders on the camera clips to white at a lower light intensity than the actual raw CCD output, which might not allow optimal exposure settings for the raw output.
* The camera itself continues to work normally and independently of the device.
* The Firewire 800 interface can be connected to either a PC/Mac computer, or directly to ANY standard Firewire 800 drive for capture.
