I made some adjustments on FCP 5.1.4 because I was working with HD. Now I am back to my DVX100 and every clip needs to be rendered when i drop it in the time line? What settings should I be on to correct this?
Thanks,
Noah

Depends on what you're shooting...24P or 24PA, squeeze or not...NTSC...

It doesn't depend on what your shooting, it depends on whether your sequence setting match the footage you've digitized.

Make sure your sequence settings match your source footage.

I understand that. But he said he'd been shooting HD and now switched to DVX. I was waiting to find out what he was shooting so I could recommend some quick settings in FCP based on what he's shooting. I wouldn't want to recommend 4:3 if he was shooting squeeze.

I'll be back with a screen cap in a bit.

Sorry for the incendiary comment Blaine. I was venting my continued displeasure with the sequence settings in FCP.

Your Audio/Visual settings for 24P, non-squeeze should probably be:

1200466654.tif
