Hey everyone!
I am celebrating three years of being a part of this online community... DVXuser. As I reflect back on the last three years I am blown away by how God has blessed me!
Three years ago I had just finished my first short shot on the DVX. Me and my friend Daniel cast our friends in the roles, even though they weren't age appropriate. It was a great learning experience like all projects are! Then later in 2005 I started getting more involved in DVXuser and decided to enter a short into the winter fest, Sci-fest. This time I cast age appropriate actors, and did my best to light and shoot it well. Though it placed 21st in the fest, I got some great feedback and comments on things to improve on... Then came 2006... I was blessed to get a little funding to do a micro, micro budget film called Smuggler's Ransom. I shot it in four days, with a very limited crew, but a great crew, and a great cast... Then last year... I was blessed once again to be a producer on the kid's TV pilot "IRH" ("It Really Happened") which as of now is still being looked at by a few networks... and later that same year I produced/directed Welcome to the Party and placed third in the DVXuser Hallowfest! then finally this year I've been massively privileged to be an Associate Producer, and editor on the feature, No Greater Love! Through these three years I consider DVXuser to be a huge reason I am where I am... I have met some awesome people on here, and have had the awesome privilege to work with so many of them!
So here's to you guys! (and gals) To your inspiration, encouragement, and tough love! :beer:
