I have avoided buying from this company up to this point but....

this is rather tempting since i already have a Ronin and an Easyrig. I'm sure most of you are familiar with the original "Flowcine Serene" attachment for the Easyrig which no doubt is of the highest quality.

this knockoff is rather tempting. there is a video down the page that looks good. i know from reviews on the CineCity steadicam copies from way back that they were cheaply made and in general just plain bad. a you get what you pay for scenario. with this though...its just a damping spring, not to complicated and I'm wondering if it could do the job good enough.

what do you all think?

here is a review i just found. i don't think the footage looks any better with this vs just hand holding the gimbal in fact i think it might even be slightly worse (more jerky) but I'm looking to something to get the weight off my arms and this looks like a cheap way to do it possibly.

Just steer clear, I'm over in India on a Bollywood film at the moment, and the cinecity/proaim gear is almost the only stuff we have access to purchasing here. The build quality is poor, a lot of the design choices are woeful, and the customer service is non-existent. Not worth even the pittance you pay for their gear. Truly.

I've decided to avoid the cinecity like you say. instead i decided to go a different route and ordered the Ready Rig today instead.

thanks for the advice!!
