I have a audio problem need help

Ok I am running firewire into a canopus switch box then sending the analog video and audio into a panasonic dvd stand alone recorder. I am recording from the project time line this works great (no rendering) but my audio is not being sent through the fire wire because I can't here it on the tv that I am previewing it on and the finished dvd does not have audio. I need to know how to send the audio through firewire not through the sound card. I can't find the setting for audio preview output.
Also when I use my camera (firewire out to camera /analog to tv preview) it works fine I can here the audio.

Please help.

Sorry but Vegas will not send audio down the firewire connection unless you're doing a print to tape. You can do what you are with audio by doing a PTT in crash record mode.

Ok so I did it. So now I will tell you great dvx users how I did it for future reference.
First I plugged a stereo jack that converts into left and right analog and I plugged them into the recorder not into the switch box because the box will only do DV input or analog at one time. So the preview is playing through the firewire to the box then to the recorder then recorder out to the TV for preview.The audio is coming out from the sound card to the recorder then out of the recorder to TV for preview.

Now I don't have to render if I have to do a really quick project.
