Hey, im new to this site, so i dont know where to post this,so I thought this forum sounded appropriet...I guess i can welcome myself into the dvxusers now..

dvx100 i bought.

i thought i got a pretty good deal..
 
Congratulations. Pretty good price, if you actually have it in your hands, and everything works good. How many hours are on it?

It's unwise to buy from someone with no feedback. Let's hope your DVX is ok.
 
Same advise here. I was burned bad on eBay a couple of years ago and now have a $20 policy with eBay. If it cost more than $20 - I don't bother!

I always thought it would be a good idea to have a 'BEFORE YOU BUY YOUR DVX100, READ THIS', somewhere at the top of this website. So many guys come in here, read a few threads, get a chubby for the dvx and find the nearest one to buy. I know there's warnings and advice everywhere on the site regarding 'authorized dealers', but if it doesn't jump out and smack them in the face it's not the easiest to find. Especially if you're just flying through here hyped on just buying the thing.

ADVICE: Slow down and research BEFORE you buy anything.
 
It would be sweet if it came with the American Cinematographer's Manual.

Hopefully you get the cam, because if not, we've gotta torture you. You've seen too much.
 
manm you bought your camera on ebay from a 0 feedback person. Woo, good luck on that one. Just becareful. If its too good to be true and it probably is.

Congrats on the new camera.

EBay has been very hit or miss for me.

Whenever I have had an issue, the people at EBay our useless at resolving it.

It's got a built in speaker. But still pictures? I'm almost %100 sure we don't have that, though I don't have my DVX in front of me.

Well...technically speaking, you could shoot in progressive mode and export frames..that would give you 24 or 30 "stills" a sec. .:cheesy: Or interlaced mode and de-interlace in PS. :thumbup: But NO it does not have a "photo" mode like some camcorders that have a MS slot.
 
you guys are talking about the 100 not the 100A right? you can shoot a still image with the 100A...

im ASSuming the original 100 doesnt do stil image...

yeah welcome sir/maam... im sure you will get the camera in mint condition as described!
