I got the gun to my head

Well you know, I have to output a couple of things into different format and sizes.

Is there a way FCP can measure how big a file is gonna be before I output it as .mov or .mp4? I often output a file and it ends up being too big or too small and I have to redo it over HOPING it'll get to the right size.

(Windows does it. Mac, I had so much faith in you...you failed me)

Not that I know of...

but, as MythBusters would say... That doesn't mean we can't MAKE it happen!

set an IN on your timeline.  Click forward SHIFT-Right Arrow 6 times to get a 6 second clip and hit the OUT button.

Export

Multiply that size by 10 for megs/minute.

Multiply that by the lenght of the clip.

Wow. You are a FCP genius! If I could only have 1/10 the knowledge you have I think I would be set for life.

Captain Mench,

Jesus! I love your cross country photos! Where were they taken? how did you go about this trip? I'm still young and inexperienced, but I would love to do something like that.

As for the FCP thingy, I'll give it a try. Thanks a lot

I moved from DC to San Francisco. Made the drive by myself while Linda and the TwoBoys stayed back... they just came TODAY!!!!

Most of the photos on that page say where they were taken. Most of the wildlife shots were in the Colorado National Park around Estes Colorado.
