I just wraped up production on my first short film this past weekend shot on the DVXA. Wow what a lovely camera, finally had a chance to actually have it in my hands but it was sad returning it on Monday. I want to buy one big time!
I thought we (me- director, Ben-DP) did very well as our first time with the camera. We rented it on Friday, had a day to look over it, shot on Saturday and Sunday. Some of the filters are amazing. And the wide adapter makes a big difference. So I'm glad we had a pimped out DVX to shoot with. The actors were great, it's amazing what they did, and had alot of patience with me, and all of them were very excited. For me as a writer,producer, director, special effects person, was a wonderful experience, I experienced being nervous, excited, tired, stressed, learned alot from this and my mistakes, but wow what a wonderful journey it was. I wish it was longer.
I would like to thank you all on this wonderful forum, for helping me and informing me and educating me about this lovely camera and filmmaking. You guys rock!
