I deleted Audio Render files, now they won't re-render

I deleted some audio render files, in hopes of saving some space, thinking that since the original audio files were still there, if I ever needed the project again, I could simply re-render the audio.

However, when I open the project, Final Cut warns me of the missing audio renders. I check forget files (because they don't exist anymore)

Obviously, much of the audio in the project is unrendered, and thus, unplayable, but when I try and render the sequence, Final Cut pro errors out and says "File Not Found."

Is there any fix for this? Thanks for any help.

At first glance it sounds like you deleted more than just render files. You may check and see if the original files that it is making a reference to is still there. It may not be a bad idea to reconnect your media.

That's the strange thing. The original files are still there. I don't ever delete them. And the video files it will re-render. But not the audio. It's the strangest thing.

It could be that your rendering menu isn't set up right.
First, try doing an audio mixdown with CMD-opt-R. That should work.

Either way, go to the sequence menu, and under Render All and Render Sequence make sure "For Playback is checked" under audio.

Nope, same error message. I double checked to see if the original file was still there and it was. I can rebuild it...but i have other projects that have this same problem, and i really don't want to rebuild my entire soundtrack.

thanks for trying though
