See, even quitters sometimes WIN.

Holy ****, where did this thread come from!!!

God I'm quitting right now and it's soooo freaking hard. and John in your video for the 10,000 posts you are smoking and I've been thinking about that saying "god, if he smokes, I can"

You know what's worse...I smoke cloves!
picked it up from my ex, and we smoked like crazy...one clove is like 4 cigarettes...and I heard a news channel say that cloves are the most addicting type of cigarette to quit!!!

I've been clean for a couple weeks...I'm drunk...and I want one soo bad right now...

It's great...I gave up smoking for drinking...Good change Phil...

Man, if anyone out there is still clean, let me know it's possible...I quit smoking cigarettes before but man...i'm freakin out...

Man, it's crazy, I know it sounds obvious, but you said Depression was a factor when quitting...geez...it's crazy because you (I) get depressed and then it brings me back to smoking...then I quit and back to depression...then full circle!!!

Now that I know it should be easier...thanks john...

You know what they say, "Knowing is half the battle...

John, I commend you for what you're doing. You being a father, it's important for your 5 yr old to have his dad in his life even when he gets older.

I gave up smoking and drinking (really tough) at the same time.... June 8th 1993 and haven't been back for a drag or drink ever since. But, sometimes I do enjoy a cigar during a vacation.

Yeah Coffee's right, it's good for everyone to quit, but I'm even happier for you...for your wife and child's sake. Keep up the strength John!

..john you havent picked your prize yet. :) personally id say wait on the next summer one.. i think it'll be worth the wait. and lets not forget you jarred, did you quit? cause you got a prize coming too if you did.

A "gaggle", is that the right terminology for a group of strippers? I thought it was a herd. It's definitely not a pride. Maybe a school. Yea, a school of strippers. I like the sound of that.

:)

That rocks, do we all get prizes for quitting??
If so...
Can I get a murder of strippers...like crows...man...that doesn't sound right...

Whenever I order strippers they call them "packs"...

"Would you like a pack? We have a special today."

I mean.....er..uh....that's what I heard anyway

Right on John, good for you man.

I thought rather than starting a new thread I would go ahead and chime in on this thread, this long, depressing thread. By posting this here I am going to make it official... March 4th is going to be my quit smoking date. I am going to go from 1.5-2 packs a day (just varries, a carton every 5-6 days though) to nothing. I'm gonna go the patch, Zyban, and any other method I can think about, but March 4th... That will be my first smoke free day in a decade. It's going to be interesting, but I have talked three coworkers (my smoking crew) into quitting with me, and we're going to do a little support group.

The biggest problem I can see already is airing out my house, since it smells like an ashtray, but I have at least three weeks... Just chiming in.. I'm going to quit.

Jeremy
