I am not worthy...

Greetings all,
First post here and I'm amazed and the knowledge here and how its freely shared.
I just got tapped to DP a low/no budg indie. I understand the basics of shooting and lighting, which is how I think I ended up with it, but this is the first time I've done something of this size so I'm here to learn from the masters.

I do have the Jackman book on order, and I do think I know enough to not ruin the whole shoot. Now I just have to figure out how to make it great!

Thanks in advance for the help :D

Yep,
Two of em actually. And the best part is it's all someone else's stuff.  ;D
My first time shooting on 24p so this should all turn out interesting ;)
Fortunately the director wants to stick with tried and true framing/compostion conventions. We want a quality look without the weird camera movement that says "look at me, I'm an Indie flik, ain't I cool when I bounce around so much..." ::)
I got to come up with some very low cost lighting solutions, so you guys get ready for questions in the upcoming weeks.

All I currently have is a twin halogen "worklight" set. I cringe at the thought of using it indoors unless there is a lot of room. Of course there is no control over the thing not to mention the scorching heat that pours out of those things...

Re: I am not worthy...

cool dueling dvxs.. !! but before you bombard the board with questions on stuff remember that most of the ?s have probably been asked, and answered..many..many times, if you take a look through the lighting section youll find tons of info on low budget lighting for instance, and the search feature works well to find obscure topics. but most people are cool about answering stuff anyway :)
