I AM LEGEND

I an't find one word 'iota' on this online (sans some minor mentions). I know that I AM LEGEND has been tossed around alot recently with the resurgence of DEAD films but I found it encouraging to hear it as recently as the MATCHSTICK MEN release.

The only thing that pisses me off? I want to do this film; always have.

I also loved matchstick men, I don't understand why everybody was talking **** about it, it was a very slick cool movie

Who was talking smack? I thought it was a toally cool film and Cage's performance is classic.

Certain reviewers were saying it was garbage because the plot sucked, i liked it alot on the other hand...

I think Cage's performance is always classic.

He is on my top 3 list of favorite actors.

matchstick men was a graet movie. riddley scott is the man. it would make sence for his next movie to be a horror flick. he's not one to stick about a certain genra for long. all thats left for him is an animated movie, and he's probly gotten all the genras by now...except maybe a western? i dunno...

So I may sound ignorant, but what is I AM LEGEND? A book? I'm too lazy to look it up myself, so John as you seem quite passionate about it please fill me in.

This is right up your alley Stabb. I Am Legend is a book by the author Richard Matheson. This book was written in the 1950's. This book directly influenced George Romero for Night of the Living Dead and countless others.

The book is described as:

Robert Neville is the last living man on Earth...but he is not alone. Every other man, woman, and child on Earth has become a vampire, and they are all hungry for Neville's blood.

By day, he is the hunter, stalking the sleeping undead through the abandoned ruins of civilization. By night, he barricades himself in his home and prays for dawn.

How long can one man survive in a world of vampires?

The film Omega Man was based on this as well as the upcoming "30 Days of Night" and "The Last Man On Earth" with Vincent Price (which is a great film)

I have a screenplay I am writing (ongoing) based on this as well. Rumours are that it is finally coming to the screen.

That storyline is pretty cool. I'm gonna find that book and read it!

Is Chasing Daylight the script you mentioned? (i dig the title, it's sharp, cool title for the vamp genre.)

Its a work in progess and title is from a song by a band that is no longer together. Casey (Exfilms) came up with the title.

YEah, I heard that rumour as well and cringed. Which mean it will be fluffy pg-13

Last Man on Earth is close to the book, but for some reason, they named the lead character something else while keeping most of the other character names the same.

And it is a great flick -- better than "Omega Man." (You see it? It's a beaut.)
