Is it okay to store a hyper mic like the AKG CK93 with the XLR still attached to the mic ?

i have a homemade zeppelin and its a pain to keep having to take it out and put it back in for shoots, so i would rather just leave the xlr attached and leave the mic inside the blimp.. if it wont damge it.

No reason not to that I can think of, except possibly just physical strain during storage. Is the XLR on a short pigtail piece of cable a few inches long or is it at the end of a 50 foot cable where the mic will be flopping around as you coil it up and store it?

What reason could you think of that would suggest it is not OK?
