Can anyone here recomend a hydophone?
I am shooting a nature doc above and below water.
Resonable $ and XLR would be great.
Thanks

no joke stick a condom on a dynamic mic to alow it to go under the surface. for a good hydrophone, call around - you probably want to rent it. Location Sound LA, Coffee Sound LA, etc.

I think that hydrophone looks really cool! The condom thing works well, but Im guessing if you wanna do a doccy, then the hydro would be the SAFEST bet, as putting an expensive mic in a condom actually scares the cr@p out of me. Good luck!
