When making the choice between the 2000 and 4000, I went with the 2000 because it held up to 6lbs... even though it was just enough for the hvx (5.6lbs), i have future plans on shooting 5dmkii.

Now that I have it, and have spent the last couple hours trying to get the balancing right its still not quite there. I was wondering who has one of these and films with the hvx... and any tips on what you had to do to make it work right?

I've used the 2000 before, even though it is hard to balance at first, it is smooth. You do need to use both hands to keep it upright when moving. It is not intended to be used with one hand. Look at some of the demos from glidecam and you will see how it is done. One thing i did get is a quality leather bowling glove for wrist support. As fatigue will affect your wrist under long shoots.

thanks

it was pretty tedious getting the weights right, and even if it seems right I'll be shooting and it will start leaning to one side all of a sudden. I had to use 2 hands to pick it up just to test the weights.

i bought the body-pod that glidecam sells, my arm was gonna fall off otherwise haha

but cool, as long as I know it CAN be balanced and I'm not shooting for a lost cause, I'm happy
