HVX200 Vs. GY-HD110U Pro

i went back and forth about this for a couple months, and decided hdv sucks. 4:2:2 is important to me and you cant record it with the HD110 without being tethered and having a $10,000 capture device in addition to a computer (and you can't use a laptop).

interchangable lenses seems overrated to me when you capturing a worse more compressed image.

So it's just my opinion, but I REALLY wanted to get the JVC because it looked so cool compared to the fat ass that is the HVX, but the hvx gets way better images and that's what's important

Thanks for the input. I wasn't aware it wouldn 't shoot in 4:2:2.

I have been very impressed with the image quality of the DVX and HVX.

I'll probably stay with the HVX.

Thanks!

Going from the DVX100x to the HVX200 is a breeze. Familiar territory with more to learn but you'll pick it up quickly.

The HVX200 puts out some gorgeous imagery. I recommend that you also invest in a 35mm lens adapter for it.
