I was wondering whether anyone has found a way to attach a viewfinder to the HVX200 similar to a traditional camera, such as the HVX500? I took the viewfinder on the camera apart to see if the cord could be lengthened with the intention of making a mount to fit into the shoe on top, but the cord is a computer ribbon cable, so there is no lengthening it.
I'm currently using a small monitor that can be positioned further out toward the lens so that the camera can be held up by my head, which helps to steady it in a semi-shoulder mount configuration. But the monitor is a little cumbersome. I've looked at other viewfinders to see if the can be adapted, but they all have unique plugs that look like they cannot be adapted for composite or S-video.
