HVX200 + Location Audio + Editing

I'm planning my audio setup for my shoot next month, and need some advice. On the HVX, there are 2 XLR inputs. I'm thinking about plugging in the boom mike into one of these. From what I read one can't turn off the on-board mics that are built into the HVX. In editing, can I separate the on-board mic track from the boom mic track, leaving just the boom mic? Please let me know, thanks!

yes, you have 4 channels of audio, 2 are taken by the built in mic, which leaves you with two. each of the 4 channels will show up on your editing aps as seperate channels.
