One simple question I am sure, but I am a bit confused.
How will I record synced sound with these two devices HVX200 camcorder and Tascam HD P2 recorder. Is it done by using time codes or I need to bring video and audio data in editing system and then try to nail it?
I am begginer and I don't know this, I have allways recorded sound in camera.

I believe you can set the HDp2 to record time of day as timecode, set the HVX to do the same (it can definitely do this) and then you are at least close and know which clips match which, but the slate will still be necessary to sync well as mcgee said.

Yep, throw a slate in (can be a dumb slate) at the head of each take and clap away. If you're editing in FCP you can also do a TC synch if you have a TC generator (such as a smart slate or synch box from Hosa, Denecke or Ambient). Record one channel of TC on the HVX and jam the HD-P2 and away you go. FCP is able to synch the two automagically.
